Leben
Tanya Tate wurde 1979 in Liverpool, England geboren. Sie war ein sehr offenes, fröhliches und nach eigener Aussage auch durchaus lautes Kind, welches zwar relativ gut in der Schule war, aber sich im Unterricht dauerhaft unterhielt.
Sie begann ihre Pornokarriere in Jahr 2009 im Alter von 30 Jahren. Dazu entscheiden habe sie sich, da sie 2008 sich in ihrem damaligen Bürojob langweilte und durch einen bekannten dazu kam sich Pornofilme anzusehen. Sie war davon überzeugt, dass ihr dieser Beruf liegen würde und bewarb sich bei einer Firma in London. Mittlerweile pendelt sie zwischen London und LA hin und her. ²
Aufgrund ihrer Begeisterung von Comics wählte sie ihren Pornonamen in der Art und Weise wie Stan Lee seine Charaktere benennt, nämlich mit demselben Anfangsbuchstaben an Vor- und Nachnamen.
Ab dem Jahr 2010 schrieb sie regelmäßig eine Kolumne für das britische Pornomagazin Ravers DVD. Später im selben Jahr sorgte Tate für Schlagzeilen im Rahmen ihrer TV-Serie Tanya Tates Sex Tour of Ireland für Television X. Für die Show fuhr sie in einem Wohnwagen durch Irland und filmte mit irischen Männern Soft- und Hardcore Pornos, unter anderem mit dem Gälischem Athleten Greg Jacobs. Ihre andere Serie Tanya Tates Casting Couch endete 2013. ³
Tate arbeitete auch als Direktorin ihrer eigenen, insgesamt drei Filme in Kooperation mit Filly Films. Sie moderierte 2013 die SHAFTA-Awards, war selbst für mehrere Preise nominiert und gewann zum vierten Mal hintereinander den Titel MILF of the Year Award. ⁴ ⁵
Tanya ist ebenfalls in der Cosplay-Szene sehr aktiv. Sie leitete eine Cosplay-Webseite, schreib für Comic bezogene Webseiten und veranstaltete einen Kostümgestaltungswettbewerb auf der ComicCon. Ihr eigener Comicbuch Charakter Lady Titan wurde Im Jahr 2014 auf der WonderCon in Anaheim, Kalifornien vorgestellt. ⁴
